The Secretary-General of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate, Mr. Muhammad Shubaita, was subjected, today, Tuesday, to an assassination attempt, and he was transferred to intensive care after suffering a gunshot wound.

Journalists indicated that Professor Shubita was exposed to gunfire and was subsequently injured, as was his son, and his cousin, Muhammad Abdullah, was killed.

Journalist Muhammad Shamsan stated that they were transferred to Kuwait Hospital in Sanaa, and Shubaita was admitted to the operating room, indicating that according to confirmations from journalists present in the hospital, Shubaita’s health condition was stable after the bullets were extracted from his body and the bleeding was stopped.
