In continuation of their protest stops and ongoing demands, employees and workers of the Aden Free Zone carried out their protest stand for the third day in a row.

He stressed the need to quickly release their suspended salaries, since employees’ salaries are an issue that cannot be considered for a single day, so what is the case with two or three months?

They appealed to His Excellency President Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Leadership Council, and Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Vice-President of the Leadership Council, for the necessity of dealing with their demands and quickly deciding on them, as they are unquestionable human rights and fundamental demands... represented by:

1. Emphasizing the financial and administrative independence of the Aden Free Zone in accordance with Free Zone Law No. 4 of 1993..

2. The necessity of urgently releasing employee salaries that have been suspended since last March and canceling any formed committees, as we are financially and administratively independent..

3. Approval of a staff allowance of 190 according to our new salary

5. Cancel the illegal decision No. 29 of 2021 to withdraw white lands whose area was determined in accordance with the aforementioned decision, and the resulting cancellation of more than 130 investment projects within the free zone and depriving more than five thousand families working within these projects of their source of income as well.

At the same time, they stressed that they will continue these legal escalatory pauses until all demands are implemented.
