The Security Belt forces in Abyan Governorate succeeded, yesterday, Thursday, in arresting two wanted men accused of their involvement in a terrorist attack that targeted the convoy of Major General Fadl Baash, Commander of the Special Forces, in Zanzibar, the capital of the governorate, on October 2, 2023.

An operational source in the Abyan belt confirmed the success of a search and investigation operation carried out by the Security Belt forces during the recent period, which led to identifying the identity and location of a wanted security member within a terrorist cell, where he was arrested.

The source revealed that ongoing investigations revealed the identity of another element called (Y.A.A.), as he was tasked by the terrorist organization with monitoring and following up on the movements of the Security Belt Command in Zanzibar... pointing out that security efforts were able to determine the location of that element so that He was arrested after his hiding place was raided.

The source indicated that the Security Belt forces, in coordination with all security and military agencies, will strike with an iron hand anyone who dares to tamper with the security and stability of Abyan, and the plans of these cowardly terrorist organizations will fail.
