The gradual exit of Aden's power stations begins, and the city faces darkness

The General Electricity Corporation in Aden warned, on Sunday, that the city is about to be plunged into darkness, due to the exhaustion of fuel needed by electrical generating stations.
A source at Aden Electricity explained on Sunday that the total generation currently does not exceed 140 megabytes, and is being lost gradually, and may stop at eight in the evening, due to the exhaustion of diesel fuel.
The source added that the President station will stop service completely tomorrow morning, explaining that the extinguishing hours are currently seven hours and are constantly increasing.
He stressed that the city may plunge into complete darkness by tomorrow if the necessary fuel is not provided.
He pointed out that the fuel carried by one of the ships anchored in the port of Aden had not been pumped until the time of writing the news on Sunday afternoon, due to the failure to complete financial procedures between the concerned authorities and the merchant, adding that the diesel shipment was also still at sea and would reach Mukalla within 2- 3 days, in addition to what it will take to unload it and transport part of it to Aden.
During the past few days, the extinguishing hours reached 7 hours, compared to two hours of operation, in light of the rise in temperature and humidity with the entry of the scorching rain season.
