More than 900 Houthi mines were removed in the first week of this May

The Saudi Masam project to clear Yemeni lands of mines planted by the Houthis announced that mine clearance teams were able to remove more than 900 mines from war remnants in the liberated areas in the first week of this May.
The project operations room statement, today, Sunday, stated that the field teams were able to remove a total of 934 explosive remnants of war between May 4 and 10, 2024.
The statement added that what was removed in the first week of this May included 875 unexploded ordnance, 47 anti-tank mines, 7 anti-personnel mines, and 5 explosive devices, and 250,124 square meters were cleared in the same period.
For his part, the project manager, Osama Al-Gosaibi, said that the engineering teams and mine experts were able to remove 438,413 explosive materials during the period from mid-June 2018 until May 10, 2024.
He added that the total area that was cleared during this period amounted to 56,226,871 square meters of land under the influence of the recognized government, which was booby-trapped with explosive remnants of war.
