The Director General of Aden Health launches a training workshop for emergency response teams on acute watery diarrhea

Dr. Ahmed Muthanna Al-Bishi, Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, 14 2024, inaugurated in the capital, Aden, a training workshop for rapid response teams on acute watery diarrhea/cholera, for 37 rapid response, Idios, and epidemiological surveillance teams in all the capital’s directorates. Aden, which is organized by the General Administration of Disease Control and Surveillance in the primary health care sector in cooperation with the World Health Organization and funded by the World Bank within the Human Capital Project, under the supervision of the Public Health and Population Office in Aden Governorate.
The three-day workshop aims to provide participants with a number of theoretical and practical skills related to the mechanism of roles and responsibilities of response teams, and an overview of the cholera outbreak and the steps for investigating outbreaks... in addition to the mechanism for teams entering reports into the system and identifying problems. And the challenges facing the teams during their field trips and communication during risks.
At the inauguration, which was attended by the Director of the Epidemiological Surveillance Program in the Health Office in the Governorate, Dr. Majdi Al-Daari, the Director of the Idios Program in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Hanan Al-Tarimi, the Idios Program Coordinator in the Health Office in Aden, Dr. Basil Al-Saqqaf, and the Coordinators of the Epidemiological Surveillance Program in all the directorates of the capital, Aden, the Director confirmed General of Health in Aden, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bishi, emphasized the importance of the training workshop, which aims to develop the skills and capabilities of the rapid response teams, and raise the level of their field work, to reduce the spread of cases of acute watery diarrhea/cholera.
Al-Bishi urged the participants of the rapid response teams to benefit from the vocabulary of the training workshop, and translate it into practical reality, to preserve the safety of the people of Aden Governorate, from the spread of the epidemic.
