The Standards and Metrology Authority rejects violating products in Aden and destroys others in Taiz and Ma’rib

The Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, through its office in the free zone port in the interim capital, rejected 2,857 bags of chopped tombac that were found to have rotted as a result of exposure to moisture, and rejected 870 cartons of tomato paste due to defects in the containers.
Through its branch in Taiz Governorate, the Authority seized and destroyed 91 cartons of dates, 71 cartons of candy, and 72 cartons of peanuts, due to a change in the characteristics of the product in terms of taste and smell, and the destruction process was carried out with the participation of the relevant authorities.
The Authority, through its office in Ma’rib Governorate, also seized and destroyed a quantity of syrup that violated the standard specifications due to impurities in the product, and the destruction process was carried out with the participation of the relevant authorities.
