Meteorology warns of thunderstorms in several governorates

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms to fall on a number of Yemeni governorates, and hot to very hot weather in the deserts and coastal plains during the coming hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the center, thunderstorms are expected to fall on Parts of the governorates of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, and Al Dhale’.
Scattered rain is also expected, accompanied by thunder at times, in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Al Bayda, and the heights of Lahj and Abyan, and on parts of the coasts of the governorates. Aden, Hadramaut and Al-Mahra.
The Center indicated that the weather may be hot to very hot in the deserts and coastal plains, where maximum temperatures range between 38-43 degrees Celsius.
The Center warned citizens of the flow of torrents in the reefs and valleys and from Being in its streams, and against the decrease in horizontal visibility on mountain roads due to rainfall and the formation of fog or water mulch, and from crossing land bridges during the flow of torrential rains.
He also warned citizens in desert areas and coastal plains against hot to very hot weather and advised against Direct exposure to the scorching rays of the sun.
He reported that the amount of rain that fell during the past 24 hours, and was measured at some weather monitoring stations, was as follows: Ibb: 15.5 mm, Al-Shahr-Hadhramaut: 8.2, Taiz: 8.1, Al-Rayyan- Hadramaut: 7.6, Al-Hawban-Taiz: 3.9, Sarfit-Al-Mahra: 2.8, Tur Al-Baha-Lahj: 2.3
Scattered rain fell outside the range of monitoring stations on parts of the governorates of Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, and the Lahj and Abyan highlands.
