Al-Alimi receives the Egyptian ambassador to discuss developments in the Yemeni situation

Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Thursday, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ahmed Farouk.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the Egyptian leadership to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, members of the Council and the government, on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Yemen, stressing Egypt’s firm position alongside the Yemeni people, their political leadership, the security and stability of Yemen, and the integrity of its lands.

The meeting touched on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and regional and international issues of common interest.
The meeting also discussed developments in the Yemeni situation, including the good offices of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations to launch a comprehensive political operation in accordance with national, regional and international references, the Houthi militias’ violations of humanitarian law, and the disastrous repercussions of their terrorist attacks supported by the Iranian regime on Oil installations, shipping ships and global trade.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Azim, renewed his thanks and appreciation for the honorable position of the Arab Republic of Egypt, alongside the Yemeni people, alleviating their human suffering and achieving their aspirations to restore state institutions, peace, stability and development.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi.
