British Maritime Authority: Armed men board a ship off Somalia

The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said on Thursday that it had received a report about a number of people boarding a commercial ship without identifying it.
She added that the people boarded from two boats 420 nautical miles southeast of Marka, Somalia.
Data issued by the Maritime Security Center for the Horn of Africa, the planning and coordination center for a European Union anti-piracy operation, shows that the Gulf of Aden and the Somali Basin have witnessed more than 20 hijackings or attempted hijackings of ships since November.
