Under the pretext of supporting Gaza... Al-Houthi is openly flirting with the Brotherhood

In recent months, statements and statements issued by the leaders of the Houthi militia revealed their attempts to exploit the situation in the Gaza Strip as a political card to achieve internal and external gains.
In a letter addressed to the “Yemeni Brotherhood” published by the group’s “Al-Masirah” newspaper, Houthi leader Yahya Al-Mahatwari confirmed the militia’s desire to “strengthen the close alliance” with the Muslim Brotherhood under the guise of “supporting Gaza.”
Al-Mahaturi pointed out that “cooperation in the war against us again is a war on the people of Gaza,” trying to link the militias’ position to the Palestinian issue and portray them as a “common enemy” with the Brotherhood against the Yemeni legitimate forces.
This comes within the framework of the Houthis’ efforts to exploit Gaza’s slogans internally to strengthen their position, and to court the Brotherhood with the aim of achieving “the maximum investment in the ongoing war on the Palestinian Strip.”
Al-Mahatwari’s letter also reveals the Houthis’ attempts to link the Gaza issue to the threat to maritime navigation in the Red Sea, in an attempt to exploit this to strengthen their political and military position.
Analysts believe that these Houthi practices confirm their attempt to exploit the Gaza issue politically and militarily to enhance their internal and external influence in Yemen, at the expense of the human suffering of the Palestinian people.
