The security belt seizes smuggled narcotic and expired drugs on their way to the capital, Aden

The forces of the cordon belt in the capital, Aden, were able to seize quantities of smuggled medicines, including narcotic, dangerous, and expired medicines, that were on their way to the capital, Aden.
An operational source in the Aden Collar Belt said: “Members of the Rabat point, north of Aden, seized quantities of smuggled medicines, including narcotic, dangerous, and expired medicines, on board a Hayes bus, which was on its way to the capital, Aden.”
p>He confirmed that: “The bus driver (W.L.S.A.) and his companion, called (W.A.T.A.) were arrested.”
The operational source added: “The smuggled medications that were seized included approximately (7,280) injections of the anesthetic pethidine, which, taking high doses of, causes delirium, hallucinations, epileptic seizures, and deep sleep, which often develops into a coma. And other dangerous symptoms for the person taking it.”
He pointed out that: “The rest of the smuggled and expired medicines were medicines for blood pressure, diabetes, and psychological conditions, and they were unfit for human use due to their exposure to sunlight during their transport and smuggling into the country without knowing their source.”
The operational source concluded by saying: “Legal measures were taken, through the seizure process, after which the seized medicines were referred to the Public Funds Prosecution in Lahj Governorate.”
