Today, the Security Belt forces were able to arrest a drug trafficker at Al-Alam Point, east of the capital, Aden.
Aden Ring Belt Operations said: “Our forces were able to arrest a suspect named (S.S.A.), who holds Somali citizenship and resides in the capital, Aden, who is promoting and selling drugs.”
She added: “The accused was coming from Hadhramaut Governorate towards the capital, Aden, and when the soldiers at the flag point carried out the routine inspection of the vehicle in which the accused was traveling, the soldiers found a quantity of narcotic hashish hidden inside two bottles of mineral water.”
She continued: “During the investigation process, the accused admitted to the charge against him, and admitted that he was involved in the process of promoting and selling drugs in the capital, Aden, after purchasing them from Hadhramaut Governorate from a person named (M.S.I.),” noting that “The accused admitted that he has been working in the drug trade for five years, and that he brings them from Hadramaut to the capital, Aden.”
The cordon operations confirmed: “The accused was referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Security Belt Forces for investigation, and his file with the seized items was transferred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.”
At the conclusion of its statement, the Aden Security Belt Operations warned against any attempts aimed at drowning the capital, Aden, in a drug swamp with the aim of facilitating its storming, in addition to attempts to destroy the youth of the south, stressing the commitment of the Security Belt forces to protect society from the scourge of drugs, and to provide an environment Safe for all citizens.”
