Aden University students are forced to take lessons and exams in the open due to a power outage

Students at the University of Aden, especially at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in the Shaab area, are facing great suffering due to high temperatures and lack of electricity. Students were forced to conduct their lessons and even their final exams in the college’s external corridors as a result of the power outage inside the college halls and the lack of alternatives.
This situation has increased the suffering of students who are already suffering from the high cost of living and power outages in most parts of the city, which greatly affects their academic achievement.
One of the students wrote about this suffering, saying: “The colleges in Aden are without electricity, most of the halls are without air conditioning. Imagine the situation of the students in this heat, I swear they faint every day. Today, in the final exams at the Faculty of Economics, the electricity was completely cut off, even though the hall was It only has a fan, so much so that my file got completely wet from the sweat, and the ink and cold mixed at the end of the exam. This means that the student is forced to take a new file and suffers from fever and heat every day, and from the severity of the cold, you cannot hold the file because it gets wet immediately.”
Students hope that the responsible authorities will take action to resolve this crisis and provide the appropriate conditions to complete their studies in a decent manner, especially in light of the challenges they face daily.
