This morning, the Public Prosecution executed the legal retaliation ruling against the convict, Muhammad Ali Muhammad Hamoud Balhaf, by shooting him to death for deliberately and aggressively killing the victim, Issa Ahmed Al-Qumairi, in the courtyard of the central prison in Al-Mahra Governorate.

The death sentence was carried out after attempts were made to persuade and encourage the victim’s blood relatives to forgive and pardon, and after they refused to do so and the reading of the ruling and the execution document.

The execution of the ruling was supervised by the head of the Al-Mahra Appeals Prosecution, Judge Hani Saleh Balhaf, the deputy prosecutor of Hawf, Judge Abdullah Salem Saedan, and the member of the Hawf Primary Prosecution, Nashwan Ahmed Muhammad Al-Majidi, in the presence of Colonel Murad Muhammad, the security representative, and Captain Nayef Fahim, the representative of the central prison. To implement the ruling issued by the Hawf Court of First Instance, on Muharram 10, 1443 AH, corresponding to 8/18/2021, which stipulates that the previously mentioned convict be punished with death by firing squad until death, and confirmed by the Al-Mahra Court of Appeal on 9/10/2023, and approved by the Supreme Court, the Criminal Circuit, on

For his part, the Chief Prosecutor of the Al-Mahra Appeals Prosecution, Judge Hani Saleh Balhaf, stated that these rulings and their implementation came after the fruit of the efforts made by His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, in his keenness to speed up the procedures with approval before His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, which fulfilled the blood guardians’ right to legal retribution from the convict.
