Dismissal and suspension of (60) employees of the Passports and Nationality Authority in the capital, Aden

Major General Abdul-Jabbar Salem, Undersecretary of the Immigration, Passports and Nationality Department in the capital, Aden, confirmed the arrest of more than (60) passport employees and the dismissal and suspension of a number of them who were proven to be blackmailing citizens and involved in brokering and trading operations in the national passport.
He explained that the head of the department and the branch managers take into consideration any complaint from citizens and it is verified and addressed very quickly.
He confirmed that the Authority eliminated the phenomenon of brokerage through the new mechanism it adopted in the capital, Aden, through the Authority representative coming down and photographing the sick and elderly who are unable to come to the passport issuance centers, in addition to the situation in the rest of the liberated governorates. As for the rest of the non-liberated governorates, it is verified that Correct medical reports and all original documents, including a card, etc., after which cooperation will take place and the passport will be issued. He added, “With this mechanism, the phenomenon of the brokerage process has been eliminated and disappeared, which has become an unacceptable and incorrect activity that blackmails citizens.”
