Masam announces the removal of 1,375 Houthi mines within a week in Yemen

The Saudi “Masam” demining project continued its intensive efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines planted by the terrorist Houthi militias, as it was able during the third week of May 2024 to remove 1,375 mines.
A statement issued by the project’s operations room explained that the mines removed during the past week included 4 anti-personnel mines, 11 anti-tank mines, 1,345 unexploded ordnance, and 15 explosive devices, thus increasing the number of mines removed by Masam’s teams during the month of May. Current to 4,320 mines.
The statement stated that the total number of mines removed by the project teams since its launch until now has reached 443,452 mines, planted by the terrorist Houthi militias randomly in various Yemeni governorates, with the aim of causing the greatest amount of harm to innocent civilians, especially children, women and the elderly. .
The efforts of the “Masam” project come within the framework of the humanitarian efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people, enhance security and stability in Yemen, and enable its residents to return to their normal lives.
