The Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and its branches in the liberated governorates released 26 inmates from a number of central reformatories, by orders of the courts and prosecutors, after they had served their sentences.

The Department of Rehabilitation and Correction stated that it released 12 inmates from the Ma’rib Governorate Correctional Facility, 8 others from the Mukalla Correctional Facility, 4 from the Taiz Correctional Facility, and 2 from the Sayun Correctional Facility.

In addition, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction said that the same day witnessed the entry of 29 new inmates into the central correctional facilities in the governorates of Taiz, Ma’rib, Lahj, Sayun, and Mukalla.

Noting that the total number of inmates in the central correctional facilities in the liberated governorates as of yesterday reached 4,468 inmates.
