Sira Court of First Instance holds its first session to consider the case of the murder of the child Shams Khaled Musaib

On Sunday, the Sira Court of First Instance held its first session to consider the case of the murder of the child Shams Khaled Musaib, known in the media as the “Rosmit Neighborhood Crime”, and the accused Hussein Abdullah Saleh Al-Fathani.
The session was chaired by His Eminence Judge Nizar Muhammad bin Muhammad Ali Al-Samman, in the presence of the Public Prosecution, the father of the victim girl, and the lawyer of the blood relatives, Khaled Al-Salawi. The accused also came from his prison cell, while the accused's relatives were absent from the session.
The judge began to ask the accused about his personal information, as he appeared extremely frightened and stuttered in answering:
- Judge: Your name?
- The accused: Hussein Abdullah Saleh
- Judge: Complete the quadruple noun
- (The accused did not respond)
- Judge: How old are you?
- The accused: I don’t know.
- Judge: Where do you live?
- The accused: Crater.
- Judge: Do you have a lawyer?
- The accused: Yes
- Judge: Where is your lawyer?
- The accused: At home.
- Judge: Do you know your lawyer?
- The accused: If I saw him, I would know him.
The lawyer for the guardians of blood, Khaled Al-Salawi, stated that the accused gave his statements before the prosecution in the presence of his mother, suggesting that the accused’s mother and his lawyer be informed of the necessity of attending the next session to facilitate the work of the court.
Therefore, the court decided to postpone confronting the accused with the indictment and the list of evidentiary evidence until after the judicial leave, specifically until the July 16 session, and to assign the Public Prosecution to inform the relatives of the accused about the necessity of his mother and his lawyer attending the next session.
