Yemeni antiquities at auction in London

A Yemeni researcher specializing in antiquities affairs revealed, on Monday, that we will be offering a piece of Yemeni antiquities at an auction in the British capital, London, early next month.
An antiquities expert, Abdullah Mohsen, said in a post on Facebook: “An alabaster bull from the antiquities of Yemen will be sold on July 4, 2024 AD at the auction of the international auction house Bonhams, London.”
He pointed out that the Yemeni masterpiece is from the collection of Mrs. Janssen, in Belgium.
For years, Yemeni antiquities have been subjected to theft, looting, and smuggling abroad. Previously, specialized reports tracking stolen Yemeni antiquities and smuggled abroad revealed that about 4,265 Yemeni antiquities were sold during 16 international American and European auctions, hosted by the most famous international auction halls. For antiquities in 6 Western countries, during the period (1991 - 2022).
