The Advisory Committee in Hadhramaut Governorate for Strengthening Local Governance and Building Comprehensive Peace in Yemen, headed by the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Hamid, visited today the Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mahboub Aman, and the building of the Industrial Vocational Institute in Sayun District.< /p>

The committee was briefed by the Director General, Mr. Mahboob Aman, on the work and activities of the office and the required needs, whether for the office administratively or for the institutes technically, as well as the support provided by the German organization GIZ through the advisory committee during the previous period.

The advisory committee visited the Industrial Vocational Institute, learning during the visit about the various departments and specializations available in the Industrial Vocational Institute, such as the specializations of refrigeration and air conditioning, electricity, electronics, automobile electricity, mechanics, renewable energy, and others. 

The committee expressed its admiration for the advanced facilities and equipment available at the institute, which contribute to training young people in high-tech technical skills that meet the needs of the labor market.

The committee also praised the efforts made by the leadership of the Office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in promoting and developing vocational education in Hadramaut, and providing training and qualification opportunities for young people, which contributes to enhancing job opportunities and improving the level of technical and vocational skills for students and graduates.

The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Hamid, expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the office, stressing the importance of supporting and developing vocational education as an essential part of the educational path in the governorate, which contributes to achieving comprehensive development and providing job opportunities for youth.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Director General, Mr. Mahboob Aman, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Advisory Committee for its continued interest and support for vocational education and vocational training in Hadhramaut, stressing the office’s readiness to enhance cooperation and coordination with the committee to achieve its goals and implement the proposed recommendations to strengthen vocational education in the governorate.
