A popular initiative succeeds in opening the “Al-Bayda-Ma’rib” road after years of being closed by the Houthis

A popular initiative succeeded in opening the international line linking Al-Bayda Governorate to Marib in the east of the country, years after the Houthis closed the important line that connected Yemeni expatriates in Saudi Arabia to many governorates in the north of the country.
Local sources said that the campaign succeeded in crossing the last Houthi point in the Al-Juba area, south of Ma’rib, after the initiative faltered for more than three days due to the Houthis’ refusal to allow them to cross.
Participants in the campaign reported that they were at the gates of the first security point belonging to the local authorities in Ma’rib Governorate, where they are expected to enter Ma’rib city center immediately after the completion of the reception process for the local delegation raising the white flag.
