The role of the media in raising awareness to preserve archaeological monuments

The Council of the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate, Aden Branch, will organize, on Monday morning, June 10, 2024, a symposium on the role of the media in raising awareness to preserve archaeological monuments, at the union’s headquarters in Tawahi.
The symposium will address the historical status of the city of Aden, its cultural importance, and the historical and archaeological monuments it contains, in addition to the attempts it has been exposed to to erase its identity, for decades.
The symposium will highlight the efforts of all media professionals and their collaboration to raise awareness of the importance of preserving Aden’s landmarks and history.
In the symposium, Mr. Marouf Okba, Dr. Raja Batweel, and journalist Nadra Abdel Quddus will speak about Aden’s historical landmarks, their protection, and the awareness-raising media campaigns that took place in the past years.
In this context, the Southern Journalists and Media Professionals Syndicate, Aden Branch, invites fellow journalists, media professionals, and those interested to participate in the symposium and enrich it.
