Al-Arada announces the opening of the Marib - Al Bayda - Sanaa road

A member of the Presidential Command Council, Governor of Ma’rib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, announced the opening of the (Ma’rib - Al-Bayda - Sana’a) road, starting at exactly twelve o’clock in the afternoon today, Sunday, June 9, 2024 AD, after completing the necessary arrangements.
This came during his meeting today with representatives of a community initiative, where he stressed the importance of activating the role of society to support all humanitarian efforts, and to make efforts to open closed roads between Yemeni cities successful, ending the suffering and dangers facing travelers while traveling through the desert and alternative and exhausting roads. Pointing out that the initiative announced on Thursday, February 22nd, was the inauguration of the opening of the (Ma’rib - Fardhat Nihm - Sana’a) road, and the confirmation at the time of full readiness to open all roads linking Ma’rib Governorate to other governorates, most notably (Ma’rib - Al Bayda - Sana’a) and (Ma’rib - Sarwah - Sanaa) was for the benefit of citizens throughout the country for purely humanitarian reasons.
A member of the Leadership Council confirmed that the position of the political leadership, represented by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, regarding opening all closed lines and roads in all governorates is firm and declared, considering that the road is a basic right for all Yemenis.
Al-Arada praised the efforts of the members of the initiative and their good offices to open the (Ma’rib - Al Bayda) road... stressing the necessity of opening all closed roads, especially the (Ma’rib - Fardhat Nihm - Sana’a) road, as it is the closest, most appropriate and qualified international line for transporting goods and passengers, as well as the ( Mala'a - Harib) as it serves one of the southern directorates, and one of the largest directorates of the governorate.
Al-Arada noted the provocations and attempts of the Houthi terrorist militia to obstruct efforts to open roads, which members of the initiative witnessed during the work of removing barriers and dunes, most notably the direct targeting of the teams, mechanisms and equipment that initiated the process of opening the (Ma’rib - Al-Bayda) road... pointing out that this targeting Direct sniping resulted in the driver of one of the equipment being seriously injured and still in intensive care, in addition to the martyrdom and injury of a number of heroes of the armed forces during the militia’s bombardment of a number of military sites surrounding the road at the same time.
For their part, representatives of the community initiative expressed their thanks to the leadership of Ma’rib Governorate, represented by a member of the Presidential Command Council, the governor of the governorate, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, for their response and welcome to the initiative and their cooperation in providing facilities... noting that the initiative comes in response to the people’s demands to open all roads and complete For humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of travelers and facilitating their travel along main and paved roads.
