Taiz: A protest by Al-Thawra Hospital employees to demand the payment of their suspended salaries

The medical and administrative staff at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Taiz organized a protest on Sunday morning, denouncing the non-payment of their salaries since April 2024, in addition to the annual bonuses from December until April of the current year.
During the protest, the protesters raised posters and slogans demanding the disbursement of their salaries, the release of the Authority’s operating budget for the second quarter of the current year, raising the Authority’s budget like some medical bodies, and disbursing annual bonuses to the Authority’s employees like the rest of the executive offices. They denounced the government’s neglect of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in Taiz and its employees.< /p>
They stressed the need to quickly release their suspended salaries, since employees’ salaries are an issue that cannot be considered for one day, so how about two or three months.
The protesters demanded that the government, represented by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, consider their situation and demands and save the authority.
In their statement, the protesters threatened to escalate and close all hospital departments except the emergency and operations department if the payment of their salaries continued to be delayed, which they depend on to provide a living for their families.
It is noteworthy that this protest is the second for Al-Thawra Hospital Authority employees, who previously organized a similar protest last Thursday.
