The first American comment on the Houthis’ announcement of the seizure of a spy network

The United States of America, through one of its former diplomats at the American Embassy in Yemen, clarified the confessions of former employees of the embassy, which were broadcast by the Houthi militias under the name of a spy cell for the (American-Israeli) intelligence.
The former US Deputy Ambassador to Yemen, Dr. Nabil Khoury, said, commenting on the confessions of the employee, “Shayef Al-Hamdani,” who was accused by the militias of spying for the network tracking the Israeli Mossad and American intelligence: “I know Shayef Al-Hamdani personally, and he is a loyal Yemeni citizen, and he has been in prison for Three years."
Khoury added, wondering: “How could he work against you from there? Please release him immediately, if it is not for health and humanitarian reasons.”
Local and international reactions continue to the Houthi militia’s announcement of the seizure of an American-Israeli spy cell in Yemen. They are former employees of the American embassy.
