Al-Mahra Court of Appeal destroys tons of smuggled medicines

The Mahra Governorate Appeals Prosecution Office destroyed five tons and three hundred kilos of smuggled medicines that were seized at the Sarfeet land port within two and a half years from now
The destruction process proceeded in accordance with the regulations and laws applicable to destruction
During the destruction, the Chief Prosecutor of Appeals in Al-Mahra Governorate, Judge Hani Balhaf, praised the efforts of those in charge of the Sarfeet port and the sense of security enjoyed by the men of the port in order to arrest most of the smuggling operations, indicating that there is complete coordination between the police and judicial agencies in order to implement all Laws regarding seizure operations.
For his part, the representative of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Authority in the governorate, Dr. Saddam Al-Zeidar, explained the seriousness of the seized medications, which were estimated at one million seven hundred and fifty thousand Pregabalin 300 mg capsules, which are considered among the medications listed in the psychotropic substances table, in addition to more than eight hundred thousand ginseng capsules of unknown origin and smuggled for the purpose of Promoting it with misleading claims, pointing out that the drugs were seized because they were of unknown origin and did not carry any permits and could lead to health damage, and some of them could lead to addiction.
The destruction operation was attended by Judge Nashwan Qahtan Al-Mahawi, Director of the Police Command and Control Department, Colonel Zakaria Al-Yousifi, and Deputy Director of Investigation, Colonel Arif Dabaan.
