Shabwa Police explains the outbreak of a fire in a hotel under construction in the city of Ataq

A fire broke out at noon on Tuesday, in a hotel building under construction on Dirham Street in the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa Governorate.
The Civil Defense Command of the Shabwa Governorate Police confirms, in a statement to the Security Information Office of the Shabwa Police, that the initial causes of the fire were due to the hotel’s facade, which was made of glass with exterior decoration (cladding), where the high temperature - especially with the facade facing the sun - led to The remains of furniture and wood inside the building caught fire.
Al-Yaban indicated that the fire was limited to the front of the hotel and did not result in any human casualties, while investigations are still underway to complete determining the causes of the fire and estimate the extent of the losses resulting from it.
