Massive rockslides rocked Mount Hisn Basim in Wadi Doan in Hadramaut Governorate yesterday morning, Tuesday, leading to a mass exodus of people whose homes overlook the foot of the mountain.

The Geological Survey intervenes
This morning, the head of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, Engineer Ahmed Yamani Al-Tamimi, made a phone call to the director of the authority’s branch in Hadhramaut, and asked him to expedite the risk assessment and develop the necessary solutions and treatments.
A team from the authority heads to the site
According to the confirmation of the Authority’s branch director, Engineer Fayez Basra, a team from the Geological Survey Authority is on its way to the site of the rockslides to assess the situation and determine the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the people.
