US Central Command: We destroyed two Houthi anti-ship cruise missile launchers

The US Central Command, Centcom, announced on Wednesday that it had destroyed two anti-ship cruise missile launchers in the area controlled by the Ansar Allah Houthi movement in Yemen.
Centcom said in a statement on the “X” platform today, Wednesday: “During the past 24 hours, US Central Command forces succeeded in destroying two anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM) launchers belonging to the Houthis in Yemen.”
The statement added that “the missile launchers posed a direct threat to American and coalition forces and ships passing through the region.”
The statement concluded: The American forces will continue to take measures to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters protected and safer for ships in the Red Sea region.
A few days ago, the US Central Command, Centcom, announced that it had destroyed 8 Houthi drones over the Red Sea.
Since November, the Houthis have launched dozens of attacks with missiles and drones on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, which they consider to be linked to Israel or heading to its ports. They say that this comes in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing war since the seventh of last October.< /p>
Earlier, the Houthis confirmed their readiness for a long-term battle with the United States, stressing that they impose complete control over the waterways in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, as they put it.
