Specifications and standards reject violating products in Aden and destroy others in Taiz

The Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, through its office in the free zone port in the capital, Aden, rejected a quantity of lasers that come in the form of toys for children that violate the standard specifications because these products cause harm to the health and safety of children, as direct exposure to laser light causes retinal damage. Al Ain. The Authority also rejected a quantity of the violating blenders (juicers) product due to it being exposed to moisture, which led to damage to the product.
Through its branch in Taiz Governorate, the Authority seized and destroyed 1,100 metal sheets of cheese that violated the specifications due to a change in the product’s properties in terms of taste and smell. The destruction was carried out with the participation of the relevant authorities.
