A health report reveals cases of diarrhea and cholera in Abyan Governorate

Dr. confirmed. Saleh Al-Tharm, Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in Abyan Governorate, said that from March 26 until today, 723 cases of watery diarrhea have been recorded, including 42 cases of cholera.
Al-Tharm explained that the number of deaths due to this epidemic since the beginning of its outbreak on March 26, 2024 until today, has reached 15 cases, distributed among some districts such as Zanzibar, Khanfar, Lawdar, Al-Mahfad, and Sarar.
In this context, Al-Tharm stressed the readiness of medical personnel and the readiness of all health facilities during the Eid Al-Adha holiday period, to receive and treat cases of cholera and watery diarrhea, calling on social media users not to spread terror, rumors and exaggeration in society, given that they do not have the correct information and lack of knowledge.
