Armed clashes broke out between the National Resistance and armed groups west of Taiz

Armed clashes broke out today, Thursday, between the "National Resistance" forces led by Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Command Council, and tribal groups in the Al-Waziyah District, west of Taiz Governorate.
Local sources said: The causes of the clashes are due to disputes between the “National Resistance” and armed tribal groups against the backdrop of the latter’s kidnapping of officers from one of Tariq Saleh’s coast guard brigades last Tuesday.
In response to the kidnapping, the "National Resistance" forces raided the locations of tribal groups near the center of the Al-Wazi'iyah District, which led to the outbreak of armed clashes that have not yet revealed any casualties.
These clashes raised serious fears about the deterioration of the security conditions in the Al-Wazi’iyah District, which is controlled by the “National Resistance” forces.
