The Houthis claim to carry out an attack inside Israel

The Houthis in Yemen said that they carried out a joint military operation with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq that targeted four ships in the port of Haifa in northern Israel.
Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Houthis, said in a statement broadcast on television that the two sides launched a drone attack on two cement tankers and two cargo ships in the port of Haifa on Saturday.
He said that the ships belonged to companies that “violated the decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Palestine.”
The Israeli army has not yet issued a comment, although it denied a similar claim by the Houthis this month.
Saree also said that the Houthis attacked the Shorthorn Express ship in the Mediterranean Sea with drones as part of the campaign carried out by the Houthi group to obstruct navigation in important waterways, as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza war.
Sari added, “Both operations achieved their goals successfully, and the casualties were accurate and direct, thanks to God.”
There was no independent confirmation regarding the two attacks, and Reuters was unable to verify the veracity of what the Houthis announced.
The Iran-aligned Houthi group targeted maritime shipping lines with drones and missiles for the first time in November. During dozens of attacks, they sank two ships, captured one, and killed at least three sailors.
