An official explanation of the reason for changing the destination of the Yemenia plane to Djibouti instead of Sanaa

The official spokesman for Yemen Airways, Mr. Hatem Al-Shaabi, explained that the company’s plane coming from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah to Sana’a Airport is the return flight of pilgrims, number IY5619, with (145) pilgrims on board.
Al-Shaabi said that due to the heavy rains that Sana’a was witnessing at the same time as our flight arrived, and in order to preserve the safety of the passengers, the flight commander was forced to divert its course to Djibouti Airport, which is the alternative airport, until the weather improves and take off to Sana’a Airport, God Almighty willing.
