Circumstances force a famous Yemen Channel broadcaster to work in a grocery store

Social media pioneers shared a picture of the well-known sports journalist on the Yemen Satellite Channel, Muhammad Al-Amawi, working in a grocery store in the capital, Sana’a.
The photo showed Al-Amawi carrying one of the grocery bags, which aroused widespread sympathy from social media users.
Yemen Satellite Channel employees, like other employees in the Yemeni public sector, have been suffering from salary interruptions for more than nine years.
This has worsened the living conditions of employees, and many of them were forced to search for other sources of income to meet their basic needs.
The image of the Umayyad embodies the insistence on life of the Yemeni person despite all the difficult circumstances.
While the picture reveals the miserable situation that employees have reached in light of the interruption of salaries, it also shows the ability of Yemenis to withstand and overcome challenges.
