The Yemeni genius wins second place in the mental arithmetic competition for children in Tunisia

The Yemeni student, “Yaslam Walid Al-Kaldi,” won second place in the mental arithmetic competition held in the sisterly Republic of Tunisia this Wednesday evening.
The competition began in Qasr al-Sharq in the Tunisian state of Sousse, and lasted for five minutes, in accordance with international standards that apply to this type of mental competition for Sunni groups.
Excellent congratulations and congratulations were poured in on a wide scale for the achievement of the genius child who came from a difficult environment, almost devoid of means of advanced education.
Earlier, the Tunisian radio station, RM.FM, conducted a special interview with Professor Walid Nasr Al-Kaldi, who was accompanied by his son, Yeslam Walid, on the eve of the launch of the competition for Arab Geniuses - the children’s category, scheduled for July 26, in the Republic of Tunisia in the city of Sousse, east of the country. .
Professor Walid Nasr, who is visiting the Republic of Tunisia for the first time, said: I came from Abyan Governorate in Yemen, accompanied by a genius hero who came to best represent his country in international forums, despite the difficulties facing the educational environment and life as a whole in Yemen.
He stressed that he has always felt proud that his son is the only representative of his country among 400 Arab children, who came from Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Algeria, Palestine and Libya, to participate in the mental arithmetic competition organized and supervised by the International Association of Human Development Scholars in Tunisia, with the support of the Supreme Council. For French Human Development, and the Algerian School of Creativity.
He added that he provides all support to his son, Aslam, with all his strength, and that he hopes that he will achieve an honorable position in the competition due to his mental abilities and solid will that raised him from the rubble of war and sorrow in his country..
Calling for adopting such exceptional talents, supporting them and honing their extraordinary skills, for the benefit that this will bring to the nation and the citizens.
At the end of his speech, he thanked all the supporters from various official, private and popular bodies and the media inside Yemen, as well as the concerned authorities in Tunisia for their generous hospitality and warm reception.
In addition, the Algerian trainer specializing in mental arithmetic techniques, Mr. Wassim Falahi, praised the talent of the child, Yeslam Walid, hoping that he would receive the sufficient attention that this genius child deserves.
Tunisia hosted the tournament for the first time last year, 2023, at the ALECSO headquarters in the capital, Tunis, in which 120 Arab children participated, and the child, Karim Samaha, from brotherly Lebanon, won.
