Dr. Al-Khobaji stresses the importance of rebroadcasting the official Aden Channel and Radio from the capital, Aden

Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Head of the Assistant Political Body of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, received today, Monday, in the capital, Aden, representatives of the employees of the official Aden Channel and Radio, and the presidency of the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate, Aden Branch.
The meeting, which was attended by Dr. Adel Mohsen, Director General of News at Radio Aden, Jamal Baydani, Deputy Director General of News at the channel, and Abdul Karim Al-Shaabi, President of the Southern Journalists Syndicate, Aden, focused on the importance of rebroadcasting the official Aden Channel and Radio from its main headquarters in the capital, Aden, which is overlooked. Those concerned in the Ministry of Information have been responsible for this file for many years.
The channel’s representatives reviewed the challenges they face due to the suspension of their salaries and the financial marginalization they suffer from. Dr. Al-Khobaji stressed the importance of solving this problem and the necessity of disbursing the arrears to the channel and radio workers and all employees of the Ministry of Information, and the leadership of the aforementioned ministry must assume its full responsibility towards the media professionals. Southerners and the need to alleviate their suffering.
Dr. Al-Khobaji stressed following up on media issues and supporting efforts to return the media in Aden to its normal path, by settling the financial situation and resuming regular broadcasting of the channel and the official radio.
The attendees also expressed their thanks and appreciation for the understanding of Dr. Al-Khobaji and the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, headed by President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, for their situation, appreciating his continued support and cooperation in facing the challenges facing media professionals in the south.
