Today, Tuesday, the security campaign in the Al-Sabiha areas in Lahj Governorate carried out a burning operation on a number of boats that were used to smuggle prohibited materials and medicines illegally, in a first since the launch of the campaign.
A statement issued by the campaign stated that the campaign’s naval force was able, in cooperation with the local community, to monitor and control these boats and those using them in the Al-Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara District.
The statement explained that the burning and destruction of the seized materials was carried out according to an official legal report, and in the presence of a representative of the Public Prosecution, the Director General of the Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara Directorates, the Commander of the Navy in the security campaign, and a number of security officials.
The statement indicated that the security campaign, since its launch a year ago, has dried up the various sources of smuggling, and arrested many people involved in the smuggling of weapons, prohibited materials, and people from the Horn of Africa, in addition to seizing many of the smuggled seizures and destroying them through legal means.< /p>
