Dr. Al-Khobaji appreciates the role of southern women in the challenges of the current political stage

The leadership of the political body auxiliary to the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, in the presence of the head of the Women’s Commission, Suhair Ali, met with an elite group of active southern women to inform them of the latest developments in the southern national, regional and international political scene, and to emphasize their important role in the challenges of the current political stage.
p>The event included a detailed speech by Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Chairman of the Political Commission and Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, about political developments and the positions of the Southern Transitional Council on various current issues and developments.
In the context of his speech, Al-Khobaji went on to discuss the reality of the general political scene and the challenges of the current stage, stressing in response to the questions raised in the meeting that the transitional government does not recognize the road map as long as it does not express the people of the South or their aspirations, explaining that all options are available, and that any A political process that does not include the issue of the people of the South, as it does not concern us.
With regard to the government partnership, Al-Khobaji explained to the attendees that it is an important political gain, noting that entering into this partnership strengthens the presence of the Transitional Council at the regional and international levels in a strong way, and contributes to building strong foundations for the future.
Al-Khobaji added, saying: We agree with the legitimacy in confronting the Houthi militia, but we differ with it on several issues. This does not mean that we will continue our partnership if the legitimacy continues to violate the partnership and its obligations. We may be opponents of the legitimacy if the Houthi militia is eliminated and disavows it. Legitimacy is the issue of the people of the South.”
Al-Khobaji spoke about the deteriorating economic reality, which has burdened the citizen, explaining the efforts made by the transitional council by pressuring the government to carry out its duties in addressing the service and economic collapse.
With regard to opening the roads, Dr. Al-Khobaji expressed the position of the Transitional Council, saying: “We do not agree to open the roads in this random manner. We are in a state of war, and everyone must be aware of that, and the war is not over yet. That is why we call for the opening of the roads under the supervision of Local, regional and international committees to ensure that weapons and other items are not smuggled, because the Houthi militias are not trusted at all.”
Dr. Al-Khobaji concluded his speech on the necessity of activating the role of women in all stages of the political struggle, stressing the great and pivotal role in building southern civil society in various aspects of life, as they are an essential element in bringing about the process of change in society.
Al-Khubaji explained the position of the Transitional Council on supporting southern women in political empowerment, giving them a high status, and encouraging them with the aim of demanding their rights to opinion and education, as well as defending themselves against violence, ignorance, and backwardness.
