Laying the foundation stone for a number of medical projects at Aboud Military Hospital in the capital, Aden

This morning, the laying of the foundation stone for two medical projects was inaugurated at Aboud Military Hospital in the capital, Aden, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Aden Economic Corporation, Brigadier General Anwar Al-Omari, the Assistant Minister of Defense, Major General Dr. Saleh Mohammed Hassan, the Director of the Medical Services Department, Brigadier General Dr. Arif Al-Daari, and the Director of Abboud Hospital, Colonel Dr. Rania Alawi, under the patronage of Major General Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.
Dr. Arif Al-Daari, Director of the Medical Services Department, explained that the first project includes establishing an inpatient department with a capacity of 80 beds, funded by the Economic Corporation, which consists of private rooms, public rooms, isolation rooms, administrative offices, doctors’ offices, and infection control areas, which It is considered the first burn center in the capital, Aden.
He confirmed that the second project includes the establishment of a burns and cosmetics center with a capacity of 45 beds, with funding from a generous philanthropist, as the center includes an intensive care department, an operating room, and an emergency room, in addition to all the necessary accessories of furniture and modern medical equipment.
Al-Daari added that the importance of the two projects comes in providing distinguished health care to members of the armed forces and their families, relieving pressure on other hospitals in the city, and enhancing the position of Aboud Military Hospital as a leading medical center in providing various medical services.
He pointed out that these two projects represent a qualitative addition to the medical services provided by Aboud Military Hospital, noting that the hospital witnessed during the last period the implementation of many vital projects with the support of Al-Zubaidi, as part of its keenness to improve the medical services provided to members of the armed forces and their families.< /p>
Brigadier General Dr. Arif Al-Daari revealed that work will soon begin on a kidney and liver transplantation project at Aboud Military Hospital, as a gift provided by Al-Zubaidi in partnership with Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Hussein Al-Daari, and work on the new project is scheduled to begin in August 2024.
In addition, Brigadier General Anwar Al-Omari, Executive Director of the Aden Economic Corporation, stressed the importance of these two projects in enhancing the capabilities of Aboud Military Hospital and providing better health services to members of the armed forces and their families, adding that these projects come as an embodiment of the keenness of His Excellency President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi to improve services.
