A government official reveals what the government and the Houthis agreed upon in Muscat

Adviser to the Minister of Information, Mukhtar Al-Rahbi, said that the round of negotiations hosted by the Omani capital, Muscat, regarding the exchange of prisoners in Yemen, achieved an achievement in the file.
Al-Rahbi indicated that the negotiations had ended and the two parties agreed to continue their efforts to implement the second phase of the exchange agreement that was reached in March 2022.
He added: “The two parties agreed to release Professor Muhammad Qahtan within the second phase, and they also agreed to complete the understandings on the lists through the envoy’s office until an appropriate number is collected that they agree upon, and then the two parties will meet within two months to discuss the remaining names and the executive mechanism.” .
The advisor to the Minister of Information explained that the agreement will include all for all, pointing to “a positive atmosphere that prevailed in the Muscat consultations, and that they will be completed in a new round within two months to complete the file.”
