The German International University of Aden opened its doors in the capital, Aden, today, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khaled Al-Wasabi, the President of the University, Muhammad Al-Saadi, and a number of officials and academics.
The university includes three colleges: the College of Medicine and Health and Applied Sciences, the College of Administrative and Human Sciences, and the College of Engineering and Computers.
During the opening ceremony, Minister Al-Wasabi confirmed that the opening of the university represents a new scientific edifice for the capital, Aden, and reflects the government’s interest in higher education.
For his part, the university president expressed his hope that the university would provide qualitative educational services with high-quality educational cadres.
The opening ceremony was attended by Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Salem Al-Shabhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Population Sector, Dr. Khaled Baslim, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bishi, Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in Aden, Dr. Raja Al-Shuaibi, Dean of the College of Nursing and Director-General of Al-Sadaqa Teaching Hospital, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Saqqaf, Director General of Al-Jumhuriya Teaching Hospital, President of the University of Science and Technology, Muhammad Al-Ayashi, Director General of Aden German International Hospital, deans of university colleges, and a number of doctors and academics.
