Al-Houthi raises university housing fees at Sanaa University by 500 percent

Student sources said that Sanaa University, which is controlled by the Houthi gang, “Iran’s agents,” raised student housing fees to more than 500% in conjunction with the start of the new academic year.
The sources reported that the Houthi gang raised the student housing fees at Sanaa University to 30,000 per room, after years ago it was charitable housing with nominal fees.
The sources indicated that this step sparked widespread dissatisfaction among university students, especially those who do not own homes in the capital, Sana’a.
The sources indicated that the Houthi group has transformed university housing from a charitable service for poor students and people from remote areas into a source of levies and imposing exorbitant fees that increase every year.
This comes in the context of the levies imposed by the Houthi gang on citizens in areas under its control, which include exorbitant increases on service fees, which before the coup were symbolic fees that did not exceed a few hundred, according to citizens.
