The southern armed forces thwarted, at dawn today, a failed infiltration attempt by members of the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization on the outskirts of Wadi Omran in Abyan Governorate.

A military source told "Southern Shield" that terrorist elements attacked the positions of the 6th Support and Support Brigade in Wadi Omran, but the heroes of our forces forced the terrorist elements to retreat and flee after inflicting heavy losses.

The source indicated that the infiltration operation took place simultaneously with the drone bombardment, which led to the martyrdom of one of our forces’ heroes and the injury of another.
