The local authority in Sheikh Othman District, and the security forces in the district, announced that they were able to arrest a gang that sells counterfeit medicines to pharmacies in Sheikh Othman.
It said that it “arrested a gang consisting of three people who sell glass medicines for fever and replace them with water.” Then they sell it to pharmacies.”
She pointed out that “the security authorities, in coordination with the regulatory authorities, intensified their efforts with extensive inspection campaigns in all the pharmacies of the directorate until they were able to seize 8 pharmacies, and the violations varied between the seizure of counterfeit and unlicensed medicines.”
She confirmed that “all legal measures have been taken, the necessary reports have been drawn up to be presented to the competent prosecution, and the seized items in violation have been seized.”
