The US Central Command announced that its forces were operating 5 drones belonging to the Houthi militia.

The Central Command said: “In the past 24 hours, our forces succeeded in destroying five drones belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthi group,” before targeting international shipping lanes in the region.

The statement added that two of these drones were destroyed over the areas controlled by the group, while the other three were destroyed in the skies over the Red Sea.

Centcom confirmed that the measures taken against the drones are aimed at removing threats against international trade ships and warships of the United States and coalition forces, protecting freedom of navigation and making international waters protected and safer.
