The International Organization for Migration revealed, in its latest update, that 144 citizens were displaced in Yemen during the second week of October 2023.
The organization’s weekly report, issued on Monday, stated that its displacement matrix monitored 24 families consisting of 144 people who were displaced at least once during the period between (8 - 14) October 2023.
The organization added in the report that the recorded displacement cases last week represented a decrease of 31.4% compared to the previous week, which was specified for the period between (1 - 7) October, which witnessed the displacement of a total of 35 families consisting of 210 people.
The organization’s report stated that most of the displacement cases recorded in the second week of this October were in Ma’rib Governorate, which received 12 families, most of whom came from Ibb and Hodeidah governorates, while Hodeidah recorded the internal displacement of 8 families between the governorate’s directorates, and Hadramaut witnessed the arrival of 4 families.
