The Presidency of the Transitional Council stresses the speedy completion of legal procedures in the case of Ashal’s kidnapping and referring it to the judiciary

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting today, Thursday, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Council, President of the National Assembly, and in the presence of the Council’s ministers in the government and heads of auxiliary bodies.
At the beginning of its meeting, the committee addressed the developments related to the kidnapping case of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani, according to a briefing presented by the Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Chairman of the Security Committee, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, and Director of the Capital’s Security, Major General Mutahar Ali Naji, who reviewed what the Security Committee had accomplished. Regarding the case, the procedures for collecting evidence, the investigations that were conducted with the defendants who were arrested in connection with the case, and the referral procedures to the Public Prosecution to carry out its duties in accordance with the system and the law.
In the same context, the Commission heard, in its meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Abyan Governorate, Mahdi Al-Hamid, a briefing presented by a member of the Presidency, a member of the Follow-up Committee, Abdul Nasser Al-Jaari, on the results of the meetings that the Committee held with the Governor of Abyan Governorate, and the military and security leaders in the governorate. And representatives of the family of the kidnapped Ashal, as part of the efforts being made by the leadership of the Transitional Council to follow up on the progress of the case and ensure that it is not diverted from its legal path.
In this regard, the Commission renewed its praise for the great care and national responsibility shown by the family of the kidnapped Ashal, by cutting off the stalkers who tried to exploit the case to strike the southern national cohesion, stir up chaos, and target the security system in the capital, Aden, stressing in this context the importance of completing The necessary legal procedures are taken by the prosecution, and the case file is referred to the competent court for a speedy decision on it, as it is a public opinion issue that cannot be delayed or postponed.
The Commission praised the role of the security services in the capital, Aden, and Abyan Governorate, and the great efforts they made to collect evidence and everything related to the case, and the coordination and cooperation mechanism that took place between them and led to the speedy referral of the case file to the Public Prosecution.
In the context of its meeting, the Commission also praised the measures taken by the Supreme Security Committee in the capital, Aden, to enhance security and stability, most notably the decision to prevent the movement of unnumbered cars and their movement in the streets of the capital, calling in this context on civilian officials and military and security leaders to deal positively with these measures. Which would enhance security and stability, and help the security services carry out their tasks.
