American forces install a radar and appoint a specialized team to facilitate the task of protecting navigation in the Red Sea

The US Central Command (Centcom) announced on Friday that it had installed a specialized radar at one of the airports under the responsibility of Central Command to assist it in its tasks related to protecting maritime navigation in the region.
According to Central Command, which published the information on its account on the “X” platform, the specialized radar belongs to the 380th Air Reconnaissance Wing in the US Air Force, and was installed via a tactical monitoring station at an undisclosed airport within an area of responsibility. She explained that the monitoring station for specialists will provide important data, ensuring that military commanders have the information they need to effectively carry out the mission of protecting navigation from attacks by Iranian agents in the region.
In addition, the US Central Command indicated that a command and control team had been appointed and distributed to the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron (DC2) within the US Central Command area of responsibility, to provide vital infrastructure for initial, alternative and emergency plans.
